olio by summerfield

olio

i was worried i didn't find any "o" while i was in niagara falls earlier today with ann lefevre. but when we sat down for lunch, she handed me a small bag of goodies. it was like a bottomless bag of goodies as i pulled out stuff after stuff. it's a miscellany of stuff that i'm pretty sure would make their merry way in one of my future posts. i'm especially enamoured with that battery-powered hallowe'en candle she gave me. isn't there a candle challenge somewhere currently happening? :-) also included in the mix are two new mascots! and four bars of lindt chocolate, one of which i devoured on the train coming home. i don't think ann realized it but she practically handed me my 'o' for today.

olio is defined by merriam-webster as "a miscellaneous mixture" or "hodge podge".

so, there you go. if you didn't know that o word before, now you know it!

thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are truly, truly appreciated.

Well, what do you know- a whole bag full of Oddities can be called an Olio as well. Outstanding!

@bill_fe @summerfield The answer to that question would be Of Course!!! And the fact that she didn't have me committed after I gave her a Santa beard means that she doesn't think I'm Off My Rocker. We had a great time but now the winter weather will set in and it won't be until Spring that we venture over to the Falls. )o:

Just curious, how do you pronounce this? When I was growing up we called margarine oleo, pronounced oh-lee-oh. I would pronounce your olio the same way.

@bill_fe - same pronounciation. thank you, bill.
