fireworks! by summerfield

fireworks!

no, they're not! these are giant cacti, the variety of which i cannot tell you because there was no tag for it at the gardens. but they are almost as tall as myself. i'd imagine if there'd be a fight in that atrium, the people are best to take the nearest exit. those needles are hardy and really sharp, imagine getting hurled into it at such force! oy!

finished the taxes! success! i just have to finalize the darn thing then submit it to the government.

thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are truly appreciated.
The reflection at the back is good - not so many prickles! a Golden Multi legged Spider!

Having lived my h.s. years in Arizona, I have a love for the beauty of a cactus. Not sure of the name of this one since you described it as tall.. And as for being "dangerous", here's a story for you... I'd gone on a picnic with friends in the desert , and after dusk, as we returned to the cars, I slammed the side of my foot into the "precious-sounding-name" of a Teddy Bear Cactus. I was wearing Keds, so the needles embedded themselves in my skin. I only recall the painful ordeal of parting my foot from the cactus and secondly, even getting the shoe off my foot with little spikes holding it in place! (Also worked for a vet for awhile & had the task of removing needles from dogs who'd run through cactus patches!) So, in conclusion, your alarm at the possibilities is valid!

I do not know the name of them either- and the ones I've seen like this are all little. I was stuck by a little one once as I was trying to get dead leaves off another plant standing next to it. Ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch!!!!! So a 5 ft. plus size makes me shudder!! Nice shot and congratulations on finishing your taxes!!

Oh, and have contacted Bryan at the Meadery and everything is good to go.
