brian, the owner of the meadery in medina, new york, let us shoot anything and anywhere we like around the place. this is the window in the back part of the meadery. although it was on the coolish side, the sun was nonetheless shining brightly and cast strong shadows across the old brick wall.
cropped and converted to black and white. there are some things my eyes are beginning to understand between colour and black and white. with black and white, in the absence of colour, the texture and the lines become more of an abstract image thus the lighting and texture are important for the overall impact of the image to the viewer's eyes.
continuing lines and shadows for the "hang it all challenge"; this week's theme is what i would hang in a gallery.
thank you, kind folks, for your visits and comments; know that they are so much appreciated.
Very interesting! I like the view you get through the window, the same pattern inside as the brick outside, but at a bigger scale and different texture... very nice shadows diagonally cutting across the wall bisected by the opening at the window!
