this was during the start of the snow/sleet/ice storm that battered the midwestern states yesterday. what normally would've taken us under two hours to drive to carol stream, illinois where my brother and his family live, took us almost four hours. traffic of course was slow; we passed by a few accidents, driver's errors mostly, and of course construction works.
funny how there's still some parts of farms that were still green. this is a drive by shot, at 45 mph in a stretch of a 70 mph highway. this brings to mind that $4 million photograph from a while back. you think someone would see this and buy it? it's only for half a million - i can't be that greedy!
thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are greatly appreciated.

and: happy to be in the final five for the weekly theme "jolly". lookie here you need to scroll down past the last week's winning photo. :-)
Lovely!! It almost makes an abstract! I have many shots that I have taken from a moving jeep during our safari....we called it drive by shooting as there were many times that we could not stop in those long hauls, but the views were breathtaking! Well done...
Nice to know you and Monique are in the finalists but so is Bill! I'm not gonna be able to vote this time!
I like the gentle slope of the land. It's very soothing. Nice capture, Vikki.
