a little boy was playing in the sand by himself, using a halved plastic jug. earlier when he saw my camera aimed at him, he simply put the jug as if he was looking through a telescope aimed at me. he never smiled. i suppose he's jaded with tourists taking his picture all the time. he went about playing not really minding those around him. when i asked him to smile, he just stood up and went inside his run-down hut for a few moments then went back out on the sand again.

@pandorasecho - i normally wouldn't have posted this, but his mother consented to having the photo taken and i 'donated a small fee'. :-) sans the consent of the mother, who was just too enthusiastic about the whole thing, i wouldn't even dream of posting this.
He doesn't seem overly pleased to be having his picture taken. Hopefully he receives a little treat from his mum especially since you made 'a donation'.
