state-of-the-art POS by summerfield

state-of-the-art POS

an old NCR cash register. no "0" keys or buttons. the most sale that could be punched in is $999.99. seen outside an antique/estate store. this is one of those machines that you never would want to fall on your foot or it would do a number on you. although in my first job one of the young guys was transporting two bags full of 25-centavo coins. needless to say he was off duty for three months. he still said it was better than a cash register.

for the weekly theme - something old. i'd have taken a selfie but i'm not in the mood to point the camera at my face.

thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are greatly appreciated.
As an accountant my father's fingers would fly over machines like this and I would be amazed that he hardly looked at the buttons. Nice shot!

Very fascinating subject for something old! Although a selfie might qualify for you you don't look old so I'm glad you didn't take that shot. I had actually thought of doing the same thing but like you didn't get around to it.

This has great historical value! Would we be able to say the same thing about ourselves?
