this looks like an angel to me. or a mother bird feeding its young. or an alien about to conquer the earth. whatever pleases you. i've never seen the innards of the orchid this close and i am quite pleased with meself.
one of the city staff at the gardens chatted me as i was taking photos of the ferns. he said he hasn't seen me in a while. he remembered me from last year during the incident of one of the visitors who insisted on bringing in her dog - the garden has had the no-pets rule since the beginning. when the owners handed over the gardens to the city, it was one of the rules that they wanted intact. people adhere to it, but some people are just brain dead they don't understand what pets can do in a garden.
then i had a free run of the orchid room for about five minutes. nice to have 'friends in high places' sometimes.
no cropping here; shot using the raynox macro filter.
happy easter to you all.
thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that i greatly appreciate them.
I was photographing a friend's hummingbird nest today before brunch with her, so it's hummingbirds I see! This is gorgeous...couldn't you just photograph every one of them?!
