it's the TIFF this week - toronto international film festival, that is, and stars, big and small, pseudo-stars, wannabe stars and fans are all over the streets of downtown toronto. i don't particularly try to track down any of the big name stars but if i happen to be around the festival area (as i found meself on sunday afternoon) and see something that catches my eye (good or bad, so long as i don't go blind), then i shall take a pic and share them with you.
i like the simplicity of this girl's get up. she's refreshing to look at, real easy on the eyes. i know, she caught me taking her pic and stretched her mouth in disgust maybe? hey, kid, you're fodder for the camera if you're on the street with festival people, and believe me, i won't get rich with this shot! unless you're a wanted criminal.
Festivals and carnivals and big public events are the one time when I feel able to do a bit of street photography without feeling guilty or conspicuous. Go for it. Love the commentary.
Yeah- don't wear a pretty dress, fashionable shades and go for a walk at a film festival if you don't want your picture taken! Really! Good shot- ugly expression and all!
