12th saturday of my 52 portraits of me project. the prompt this time is "music".
i don't own any musical instrument but i used to be able to play the guitar when i was in high school. my music teacher in grade school was really good that i am able to read notes and it proved useful when i taught myself how to play the guitar. and later on my guitar teacher was quite thankful that i could read notes as it made his job easier.
when i retire i would like to learn how to play the piano with both hands. but first i must have a piano. it won't do any good if i won't be able to practice at home.
i do own a karaoke unit, the kind with tiny chips that are inserted inside the microphone that you plugged to the tv. i had rarely ever used it as ex-partner told me i was being silly when i sing. it's not that i'm horrible, he said; but because he wasn't musical he could not appreciate my singing. but if i would sing him some country songs...well, i told him i draw the line on country songs.
How on earth did you post this with no comments?! As I told you I come looking for inspiration for the next week's theme. I don't normally comment but I had to on this one... This is so hot!!
@bella_ss - haha! thanks, s. i had skipped this prompt but weeks after that, i found a mural with the musical instrument. then i just overlaid it with an older self portrait. then i didn't realize it was posted as "restricted" and by then i didn't care if there were no comments. thanks!
