i have nothing! with all the crap i carry with me everywhere i go, i have nothing to photograph. in a last minute desperation, i opened a luggage and voilà! a multi-game set of chess, domino, backgammon, cribbage, with dice and playing cards.
i'd have shot these chess pieces à la northy but why bother when i know it would come out a crudely inane imitation. so while my friend is a master in chiaroscuro shots, i thought i'd offer an antidote of high-keyed chess pieces. here's the inspiration shot: https://365project.org/northy/365/2017-03-30
i tried to play backgammon with myself but i got annoyed as i was cheating shamelessly. so i challenged myself to a game of scrabble. guess who won? :-)
for my get-pushed assignment this week from mary siegle @mcsiegle she wanted me to "take the word pushed and interpret that or any of the synonyms of push and/or pushed found here take the word pushed and interpret that or any of the synonyms of push and/or pushed found here: http://www.thesaurus.com/browse/pushed ". i was impelled to do this because as i said in the beginning, i have nothing!
Ha ha ha I love the narrative. Great example of the other old principle -- when you got no lemons, make lemonade anyway. :-) Nice high key shot. OK I'll think of a new challenge to give you tomorrow.
My first thought when I saw this was it is so northyesque then I saw whose it was and I understood. For someone with "nothing" you always seem masterful at pulling the fat out of the fire. Sometimes "nothing" is what pushes us (there is your answer to Mary's challenge) to do our best.
