i'm technically off from work but i had to check in on our billings as the new system is screwed up and i wanted to see if my clients' bills had been fixed. sadly not and so i might check in again on friday as i need to go to the bank anyway.
i went around the financial district to find a decent Christmas tree which i need for my five plus two post. passed by the city hall and took a few photos of the skaters.
a couple of you asked in your comments on sunday's post if i skate. no, i can't skate even if my life depended on it. that said, i have watched too many figure skating shows and competitions that when my son came to canada, he so desperately wanted to learn to skate. so i brought him to this very skating rink and told him what he should do. a couple of falls here and there and in twenty minutes the little bugger was hydroplaning you'd think he's been skating all his life. he was about 14 at the time. so if you asked him who taught him how to skate, he would shamelessly say 'mommy did!'
then i did buy myself a pair of figure skates and actually donned it and tried to teach myself. one fall and i threw in the towel. just couldn't stand the pain. and i thought at 36 i'd be too old for the olympics anyway. :-P
