i headed to the west end to see if the sakura cherry trees have blossomed but to my disappointment they haven't. according to one of the info guys, they expect the trees to blossom by monday which may not last as the forecast for next week is rain, rain and more rain. i think the trees must've prayed to the good lord for such thing as the people who come to see them mostly abuse the trees anyway. i may reserve the right to call in sick on monday to see if they have indeed blossomed and have a quiet nice time photographing them without having to chase some stupid tourists who would break off the branches or some ass-brained parents putting their overgrown kids on the branches of the trees to take pictures, despite numerous signs telling people not to do that. hmmm... was i ranting? no, just telling it like it is.
so i appeased my disappointed self by treating meself to a nice lunch at pickle barrel and having procured yesterday a slice each of red velvet cake and decadent carrot cake (yes, carrot cake can be very decadent, doncha know!) gone home to have dessert. but because my head isn't too much into this half and half challenge, i only managed a couple of passable half/half photos that are extremely blasé. so i took one shot, just one shot mind you, of the cakes as they landed on the plate from the box. and this is it. so enjoy looking at them, because i enjoyed eating them.
Hope you get the blossoms, but what a consultation prize....as I sit here watching the Great British Baking Show. About the photo I love your half and half composition.
