it's been a very long day -- train delays in the morning, delays in packing my desk, delays again on the train, long wait at the bank, more delays on the train. lawyers kept bugging me for stuff just because i was the only one on the floor and of course their stuff were all urgent. i didn't really get to start my packing until almost 5 and my goal of a totally packed desk before i leave the office was just an illusion. i left the office well after 9 and still a lot to pack up. when i come back i would just have to spend my two days before the move packing unnecessary stuff. oh, well. i might win the lottery before then and i don't even have to come to work. [sigh!]
and now i have to do another kind of packing -- my luggage, what to take and how much.
whilst waiting for the train, this was the view across the platform. the text:
"the way we settle into a seat
the way we stretch when the train is empty
and retract as it fills
the way we deflect a glance and simultaneously present
language of the body - claiming, relinquishing and balancing
personal space in this interstitial realm
halfway between the worlds of here and there"
Take it easy!
