i'm not prepared nor am i admitting that Christmas 2019 is almost upon us. no, no, no! but it seems the stores are pulling in the days so fast that they even have valentine's stuff already in their shelves. i mean, seriously?!?! let's get on with halloween first, let's? that said, this guy here is on a crystal bowl on my window since last year along with two other large Christmas decors. i've been meaning to put them away but if i do, i'll forget about them, would forget where i put them, then i will be obliged to buy more and you know how it goes. in fact, my decors from last year are inside the box that is manila-bound and maybe i should have it picked up to get there in time for the holidays.

the prompt is red for the canon 30-day challenge. i did see a woman on the street wearing a red track suit but i was lazy to pull my camera out of my backpack so this came in handy.

lots of stuff happening. we have a visitor and my days for the next three weeks will be filled with dinners and lunches, what with thanksgiving coming up this weekend, and then i am in two committees for the church's annual bazaar. in addition, i get to make those cute sandwiches for tea which is the highlight of the bazaar. i'm thinking cream cheese and roasted peppers. haven't made those little sandwiches in almost thirty years. in between i should like to make a trip to the niagara region so i could photograph the changing colours of the trees. oh, so many things to do, so little time and only one of me!
A lovely capture of the red ornament and lovely curley ribbons.

Lovely shot !
I totally agree with festival’s stuff being too early in the shops but it has made my life as an expat so much easier; to be able to buy Sinterklaas ( St. Nicholas), Christmas-and Easter decorations and presents at summer and winterbreaks made it possible that our kids never missed too much of their own culture while living in Africa and Asia ☺️👍

Heavens above, please not Christmas yet!!! The over-commercialisation of special days has totally ruined my enjoyment of what should be fun. Love the shot though.

Good shot, but far too early. About the 24th is the right time.
