"odalisque" is a 1874 oil on canvas painting by french artist Jules-Joseph Lefevbre (any relation, ann and jeff? @olivetreeann ) i took a picture of this painting when we visited the chicago art institute in august. i knew i took this picture for something!
little hop-along-bob was rather scandalized by the naked odalisque, and afraid she might pass air (and something more), he pushed the package of TP rolls to hide the lady's ass. in fact, bob wanted to wrap the lady with the toilet paper but lady refused and said she's quite alright, thank you very much, and aren't you quite the prude, mr. bob? well, bob rather liked the idea of being called mr. bob. because when you're that small, it's an honour to be called mister!
bob, a little bit more to the left. no, not your left, your right, my left. that's right. no! i said your right my left. oh, come off it!
Who knows Vikki- from what we can tell LeFevre or LeFebvre is equal to the English Smith- there are a million of them! All we know is that Jeff's ggf possibly gggf, Amos, came from Paris France (we don't know if he was born there though) to Quebec and then made his way down through NY state finally landing in Matamoris PA. Most LeFevres were some sort of craftsman (hence "smith") and it appears Jeff comes from a long line of stone masons. But we don't have any more info than that. Thanks for another laugh of the day!
Hope your weekend let's you get to chat to family and worship with friends. Best wishes my friend x
