my sister asked me to accompany her to her appointment in the west end of the city. it was a stone's throw to the lake so we made a detour so i can take photos. it's been years since i saw a swan family and this pair of mute swans had seven grown cygnets. it was so fun watching them glide by, with father swan leading his troops and mother swan bringing up the rear, giving the two rascals who liked to hang back a talking to until both finally relented and kept up with the rest.
it was hot when in the open sunshine but pleasant in the shade. at least august brought with it some comforting breeze which made the high temps easier to deal with.
i think i should take a bus trip to somewhere next week.
Great to find such a wonderful subject for your photo. Being by the water always is relaxing. Usually there’s a nice breeze too which helps take some of the stifling heat away.
