i dug real deep today for a landscape shot. this was from 2011 when my bff and i went to visit the old country and toured honda bay and the underground river in palawan. going there gave me the idea to retire there. but 10 years is a long time since.
while i would still want to retire there, i need to be a millionaire so i could buy my own island paradise, where i would have a house made of bamboo slats, the waves gently rolling to lull me to sleep at night, and feel the glorious morning sun as i walk along the white sand beach that would be my front yard. i would have fresh fish and seafood for my meals, and those bancas would come to my island paradise to bring me fresh vegetables from the main island. i would have a local girl staying with me to clean and do housework and keep me company.
then i would have a small table set on the beach as i write my tenth best selling novel on my computer. what did you say? no electricity nor internet in the island? in my island? are you kidding me?
then a boat i don't recognize arrives, a handsome dude gets off and walks towards me. he's a cross between the young robert redford and harrison ford (that's a little bit hard to imagine, but stay with me here, okay?), his well-built body glistening with coppertone and he's carrying a tool box. he approaches me and takes me in his arms and tells me, "i'm here to install your internet, my sweet." and i would swoon and say, "my hero!"
and just as he was about to kiss me... what is that damned fire alarm doing waking me up from my reverie?
With Redford/Ford on your island you don’t need to have Internet or worry about writing a novel! Everything else about your narrative sounded OK to me!Beautiful landscape here that works well in black-and-white. I actually considered going into my archives for a beach scene as well today but ended up doing something different.
You're so good!!!!!!
Enjoyed the story a lot and love the photo!! What memories it must evoke for you.
