seriously running out of ideas for this bamboo plant. i think i will self-implode anytime now. even the painting is seriously in self-implode mode. i didn't paint anything at all on the weekend and yet i have a couple of paintings that needed re-touching or finishing. this painting was done in a rush two or three saturdays ago for a birthday. but i'm watching two tutorials on youtube so hopefully my mojo will come back.
apparently, we are on the third wave that hasn't peaked yet and the more dangerous and fast-spreading variant from the UK accounts for the majority of those new cases. word has it that the lockdown order that is to expire on the 28th of this month may yet be followed by another lockdown. this morning, in the middle of my zoom meeting the doctor who interviewed me last june for my allergies called to ask if we could finish the testing now. i told him that frankly i am afraid to go out of my apartment, let alone go to a hospital. i read also in the news yesterday that if the number of ICU cases in hospitals exceeds 900, hospitals may need to invoke an established triage protocol that would reserve care for those most likely to survive illness; the sickest and the oldest would not get the normal care they would otherwise get when there's no crisis. how sad, just sad.
You are so artsy, your mojo will come back. Great painting and nicely composed shot! Sending you mojo vibes, no pressure but can't wait to see what you can bring for tomorrow :-)
I really like your bamboo plant, I think I want one. I’m pretty confident that your mojo will return, you are a very creative person. Sorry to hear that things aren’t good Covid wise, it’s really hard to imagine entering a third wave
What scary times you are facing Vikki. Every time I read about what is happening in other parts of the world it makes me ever more grateful to be living where I do. I love you bamboo at the end of the rainbow. It is "Lucky Bamboo" so I hope that its luck rubs off on you too. Stay safe xx
Hi Vikki, I wanted to congratulate you on your 5000 photos here at 365. Your celebration photo was very appropriate, showing your various cameras that got you to that milestone number. I was looking at my stats and I am at 500, a milestone that surprised me a little. I sure hope you get to feeling better and hope you can get outdoors at some point. I caught a Spring cold last week and it is taking it's sweet time getting out of here! Keep painting to heighten your spirits.
And I like the pot of bamboo in stead of the gold.Your calendar looks amazing with the bamboo featuring in every picture!
Perhaps you can shoot it from a different perspective for a week or two.
Take care of yourself. We don’t want you succumbing to Covid
