because i was fasting this morning, i didn't go for my morning walk, lest i faint from hunger. but going to the hospital for my blood work and ultrasound, i walked the four or so blocks from the subway station. i passed by the portion of the danforth where there's a big 'organic' grocery store and other shops that tend to the health conscious. in the little square they had this installation. i looked it up and it's a promotion for the people of toronto to get back to the everyday activities of supporting local businesses provided we all observe the mandatory physical distancing, wearing masks, etc.
i had my bloodwork after the ultrasound and was unexpectedly held for two hours. they had given me a bottle of this ridiculously sweet concoction i almost barfed. then they had to take more blood off me to see how my body reacted to the sugar in that drink. i was afraid i'd pass out. more than three months without anything sweet or sugar and suddenly a bottleful of glucose. yuck! then back to work and i certainly more than made up for the three and a half hours absence.
It sounds like a dreadful set of tests! I have had the glucose test before so I feel your pain! I hope all turns out well
