this is part of a Christmas display in a mall where my sister and i went last saturday.
discussion i heard at the grocery store this morning:
person 1 - i'm going to do a full day of Christmas shopping tomorrow as it looks like the government might be planning a stupid lockdown yet again. i'm telling you this pandemic is such a big hoax.
person 2 - what do you mean a hoax? you're stupid, people are getting sick and die and the hospitals are getting burdened, people have no work and you think it's a hoax? you can believe in Christmas but not the pandemic? are you stupid or what!
what was supposed to be a 'friendly' banter between customers, turned into a heated belligerent exchange that resulted in the manager and a security guy having to interfere. i say person 1 is shallow and person 2 just might be an agnostic.
i wanted to stick around and maybe take a photo but i had better things to do.
Such beautiful decorations, I love the classical combination. So many people have so many different views and issues! I for one know how real covid is as I am battling to get over it.
@ludwigsdiana - oh, diana. i'm so sorry to hear that. half the doctors around here say the current variant is highly contagious but it is mild compared to the previous ones; and half say it's the worst of all the strains. i hope you get over it fast. take care.
Truly I think with Covid has done has proved the vast ignorance of the majority of people in this world. Better to keep your mouth shut and have people think you are stupid than to open your mouth and prove it!

I was thinking just yesterday or perhaps the day before that I miss getting out and seeing the decorations and the bustle of the stores at Christmas time. This is a lovely display.
