no, not really. whilst deciding what camera tricks i could learn for the fourth week of 52 captures challenge, i discovered that the olympus has a function called 'art' and has 14 features -- partial colour, dramatic tone, watercolour, pinhole, grainy effect, pop art, dramatic sepia, etc. i tried all 14 features but i like the pinhole effect better than the others.
this camera, no matter that it is light and handy, gives me grief all the time, especially when i try to use the manual setting. so i just leave it on 'scene' function all the time, choosing landscape, macro or portrait. the opposite is true when i have to use my nikon or canon, as both are always on the manual setting, although i suspect (i haven't checked, admittedly) both would have a similar 'artistic' function.
this is one of my first attempts at painting back in the later weeks of the year 2020.
A very beautiful painting!
As for the Olympus art, that sometimes comes to the rescue, saving post-processing time :D
I only have an Olympus camera and I like it very much (not that I have a choice). I used the manual mode only once or twice, during the AYWMC course. But otherwise, that is quite a 'dark room' for me. I have used recently the Scene mode - now that you mention it. When I was trying to photograph those pooches in action and some birds in flight. And I was quite happy. Much better results than when using the continuous auto focus. It is a shame that I paid the money for so many functions and I am not making use of them, and instead I rely on Snapseed for effects which I could easily get in camera.
Lovely painting Vikki. I love my Olympus and rarely have it set on anything other than manual. That being said I really should have a play with some of the art functions.
