often times, it isn't that the person changes; it's just the mask has fallen off....
i have two versions of this shot: the low key is more dramatique, but i went for this high key version because the red shows more. i might choose to post the low key version at some point.
the mask is mostly gold and gold tone, even the lips, but i painted the lips with red acrylic glitter paint to make it look more cheery.

@merrelyn - if your subject is dark, a longer exposure. otherwise increasing contrast in post. then cleaning up or cloning out smudges or traces of coloration in the background.
