the entrance door to st. andrew's presbyterian church in the heart of the financial and entertainment district in downtown toronto. the building was completed in 1876 and is in the romanesque revival style. its façade faces the main street of king street and has three doors in the same design but due to traffic consideration, they are not used and instead this door is used as its main entrance which is on a smaller side street. but look at that very intricate jamb!
on my walk this morning, seeing an airplane flying relatively low as it made its ascent eastward, it reminded me of last tuesday, may 30th morning when on the same walk, i noticed an airplane ascending but at a very obtused angle that made me stop and stare at it. i thought i was going to witness a plane crash. a man walking in the opposite direction looked behind him to see what i was looking at. he said that it was quite strange that the plane was almost vertical and was almost slowing down. but as it continued its ascent, it eventually righted itself. it was quite unnerving but afterwards, i thought why didn't i take a photo even if i used my iphone. sometimes i could be a slow top. however, i think i will be permanently traumatised if i ever actually witness a plane crash, even preferably without me in it. i scanned the news later that day but didn't find any article about a plane going bonkers. the story doesn't really relate to this posting, i just remembered it.
They say the best camera we have is the one in our hand! But we do have to remember to use it! But even if you didn't take a photo of that plane, the image will always be in your head. I have images like that too. - The ones that get away!!
