i had to go to my sister's in downtown after my pig session with my pig buddies. i thought i'd pass by the aquarium and see how my favourite sea creatures are doing. there were a lot of people, surprisingly, on a school day. there was a long line up at the till to get in but having a membership, i just had to present my card and in i went straight to the jelly section, took a few shots and i was out of there.
we are suffering from really polluted air here in toronto. wildfires are raging in quebec and nova scotia in the east and in alberta and elsewhere in the west. the weather indicates for the last several days that it is sunny but the truth is the city is enveloped by haze, apparently from the wildfires. this afternoon, when i got out of the subway, it had just finished raining but having to walk quite a-ways to the aquarium, i felt quite dizzy. not dizzy like when i'm on the verge of a vertigo attack but rather like my head was about to explode, my eyes were watery and my sinus started to clog up. then going back home, i saw one of the girls from the office and she said that the air outside was so bad she was feeling dizzy and that's when it clicked to me. soon as i got back home and turned on the a/c, i started to feel better but felt like i was beaten up, you know, like scrambled eggs!
beautiful capture ...how do you get such a great detailed picture ? Praying they get your wildfires under control and out for both you and me. Crazy how far that smoke is traveling.
What a wonderful capture of the jellyfish.
Sorry you had ill effects of the smoky air. N95 masks when outside were recommended in some of the articles I read.
