the beholder

the saying "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" is quite true so far as this little butterfly is concerned. it clung to this coneflower for so long it was i who first blinked and decided to move on after taking a gazillion photos.

for three hours during the lunch hour, i kept running towards the glass windows at the office to catch the planes doing rehearsals for the weekend's air show. it was impossible to catch a photo as our only view is that of its reflection on the glass windows of the skyscraper across the street. i did, however, watched one doing loop-the-loop when i went to the market to get some nuts and lunch. maybe i'll hop on a ferry to the islands either on sunday or monday and head to the nude beach as that is where the best vantage point is. no, i don't intend to go nude. i don't want to be responsible for a lot of people going blind watching the air show. 😂 🤣
So lovely.

I imagine if you went nude to the beach people would be watching you instead of the airshow!

This is a really pretty little butterfly, and I like the competition with the flowers

Hard to get a butterfly to sit still. You must have mesmerized it to get this photo.
