i tried to paint a golden wheat field, failed. i tried to paint just a stem of wheat, failed. so did the easy thing, a gold necklace. i borrowed the neck from google images. the necklace was copied from my own. gouache gold looked red brown. then i remembered that when i bought the japanese watercolour set, it came with a bonus of 5 extra colour palate with different shades of gold. i'm happy that the yellow gold translated well onto the screen, at least in my screen; i don't know about yours but i hope it did.
this concludes almost a month of watercolour paintings. thanks jacqueline @jacqbb for the push. now i must go back to acrylic. although i could definitely use the morning watercolour excercises. thanks to everyone who commented and fav'd my watercolours -- you're all aces to me!
