Into the Unknown ... the Katydid and the Cobras

I thought this was a grasshopper when I was taking the pic ... now I'm not so sure .... anyone?

I agree with Trina. The long, skinny antennae look like a katydids. Grasshoppers have short, thick ones. Fantastic capture! :0)

This one has such lush color! I'm pretty sure it's not a grasshopper, but I have never seen a katydid, so I'm no help with the identification. But I trust Trina - she's very up on these things.
