Like Hosta, the Hens&Chicks are normally grown for their leaves, not their flowers. However, this H&C has a beautiful flower. The bluish colour in the background is one of the plants from the H&C group shot a couple of days ago.
One of my arthritic wrists is acting up worse than usual. I'm going to have to stop using it totally for it to get better [just after I make another batch of red pepper jelly]. My keyboard time will be short and sweet and my shots, if any, will be limited for the next little while.
And i thought hens & chicks were restricted to the barnyard! Thank you for expanding my knowledge - I know very little to nothing about plants and flowers. :-( Beautiful detail and colors here! Please do take care of your ailing wrist, and look forward to when you can post again.
the blossoms look much better in your photo than they do in real iife! =) Count me as among those who wish that your wrist will feel better real soon!!
Oh my gosh - that's the best one yet! Sorry about your ra. It does want to slap us down once in awhile, doesn't it? I have surgery scheduled this afternoon, thus the early-in-the-day comments.
This is a gorgeous flower. I had no idea the H&C had flowers you teach me so much about gardening through this project. That may be my new project heheeee
What a gorgeous flower! I pray your wrist is better soon. And you make red pepper jelly, that is one of my favorites that I just discovered recently. :)
This is simply spectacular, Anne! Love the fuzzies on each petal and they seem really appropriate for this plant, that I now want to own even more. Sorry your wrist is bothering you. Please keep posting even if you can't comment.
Oh no, so sorry to hear about your wrist Anne. Arthritis can be so cruel. I really hope you get it feeling better real soon. Love this shot though! : )
i hope you get better soon!
