We went to a retreat/conference centre for a grand fall lunch yesterday with Barry's hockey buddies and their spouses. [The cabbage rolls were awesome - I should have tried taking a pic of them.] The gardens near the front door are quite protected and some of the plants were still blooming. This Verbena was one of them. Pretty amazing for the end of October!!!
I took some great pics of Verbena in another garden in August and forgot about them, so it was nice to see this one and have a second chance to share them with 365.
The colors are so pretty. I hope they smelled nice too. Funny, as soon as I saw your caption Little House on the Prairie popped into my head. I always remember Laura smiling at her teacher's perfume and saying in a dreamy voice "lemon verbena."
Gorgeous capture! Love the two-toned flowers! Guess you just can't stop a flower lover from taking shots when you find them - what will you do all winter? I'm already going into withdrawl!
