The Mississippi at Blakeney

The Mississippi River in Eastern Ontario is often shallow and rocky, at least at the parts that we tend to visit. I've already posted a few pics of it at different locations. This shot was taken near Blakeney, where there's a great little hiking trail and picnic area --- a beautiful spot all year round. There are several similar spots along it's short 200 km course.

Beautiful shot. Awesome looking place. I had to Google it. I think it would be a great place to visit. Not too far from Saratoga Springs NY where I spent 6 months (over a winter).

Oh wow, you can tell I failed geography. I did not realize the Mississippi River extended from Canada. It makes a beautiful photo.

Nice capture of the waters. Is this the same Mississippi as "the man"...."old man river" ..?? Never knew he went up as far as Ontario or maybe this is a tributary?
