Wow, I had no idea when I posted the pic of the hummer's nest yesterday that it would be so well received. Thanks for all the awesome comments and favs.
I thought today I'd post a pic of the nest from the ground, showing just how close we were to it all summer without knowing it was there. The nest is on the extreme left edge of the pic, about a third of the way up from the bottom.
The amazing blue sky is a bonus. It's a gorgeous day here today. The railing is where Barry feeds the birds in the winter. You'll be seeing some close-ups of that before long. The round thing is a thermometer, large enough for indoor viewing. The perspective is your eye test for today.
Cool shot. Thanks. I guess you are in the process of tuning up the snowmobile? When I Wintered over in Saratoga Springs NY, I was amazed how the hiking trails became snowmobile trails.
Loved the bird nest, very awesome and enjoyed learning about the construction involved in it. I really like the view from a hummingbird! Today's sky was beautiful.
Very cool to see the other side of that incredible nest! I have a walk out basement and second floor deck and I love the treehouse effect it creates! So happy you liked the muffins!
Amazing perspective. It makes the nest look very high in the air and so I wonder how you were able to take yesterday's photograph. Maybe it is an optical illusion.
@vernabeth Thanks Beth! I very much appreciate your continued support. I got yesterday's shot from the deck so yes, you are very observant, there's some illusions going on here. The nest is about the same level as the floor of the deck. I find the perspective in this pic makes my eyes spin! lol Thanks again for dropping by.
yes, those are some really tall and quite bare-naked trees you've got up there! (no wonder you never saw the nest!) ours will be looking like this before too long ~
have a good weekend anne!
