This stretch of ice-coated road is a couple of km from our home. We often see wild turkeys here. This morning there were lots of them in every direction and they seemed tamer than usual. As we drove past, there were about six or seven of them on the shoulder of the road just a meter or two away. Too bad the camera was cold and the battery died.
Freezing rain = quiet day, hopefully with power. We often lose electricity in crappy weather, and sometimes even without crappy weather ... lol. Wishing you all a super New Year.
Many thanks for dropping by. I realize some of you are finishing your projects. If you would like to stay in touch, look me up on facebook, anne fraser burnette
Happy New Year Anne. Get the candles out in case of a power failure. Nice capture of your road. It looks like you can become somewhat isolated in dreary weather.
Nice road and winter weather! Glad to see turkeys there! Haven't seen any here yet. Quite unusual as last year had 14 to 20 daily or twice a day. Enjoy your celebration tonight!
Fabulous photo, Anne. Such a beautiful scene & great catch of "turkey lurkey" .... Wishing you and your family a happy, healthy new year filled with another year of great photos on 365!
Wow! I'll bet this would be a great place for a sled ride as long as there was no traffic. We have a lot of wild turkeys around too in Chattanooga. I never uses to see them when I was growing up.
I love this scene! It's wonderful! I really hope we get a good snow this year! Don't tell my husband I said that! LOL! He'll have to drive in it. Happy New Year, Anne!!!
Happy New Year Anne :)
Happy New Year!
Wishing you and Poppa a WONDERFUL 2012 and it's been great to get to know you and see your part of the world xxx
