This is a pic of several of the 1864 islands in the area known as The Thousand Islands, located in the St Lawerence River, between Canada and the US. More of the islands are in Canada, however the area of the islands is approximately equally divided between the two countries. According to the visit1000islands.com site, an island must be above water level all year round and support at least two living trees. Most of the islands are privately owned and many have huge homes/cottages on them. Fun day.
Very beautiful pov ...lovely color tones! I can't imagine buying an island! One would always have to boat or fly in. But I guess if you can buy a piece of this real estate .. a boat or an airplane is no problem. lol
