Fibonacci in Nature

One of the side benefits of feeding the birds in the winter is the germination of a few of the sunflower seeds in the summer. This one is growing between some big rocks in some "soil" that's more like gravel.

I got a very quick peek at the baby nuthatches today for the first time. Looks like there's three of them. The Mom was missing for much of the morning but by noon, I spotted her back on the nest --- whew!

Many thanks for dropping by.
