Truth be told, I'd actually rather be skiing than kayaking on this glassy water surface but we don't have skis and even if we did, I don't think my frozen shoulder would co-operate.
We paused for a moment before setting out, deciding where to go. We almost always end up going up-river first so that the hardest part of the work is done when we're not too tired. So the decision becomes whether or not to go up the inhabited side and say hi to neighbours, if they happen to be dock-side or cross and go up the un-inhabited side and maybe see a turtle or otter. On this occasion, we chatted with a neighbour or two along the way.
Gorgeous! So tranquil. Hope you're getting physio on that shoulder, Anne! There's no need to suffer. I had a frozen shoulder a few years ago and a couple of months of treatment had me back to normal. My shoulder, anyway! ;-)
Hope you are getting better.
