We have lots of blue jays this year. I caught this one discarding the outer coat of a sunflower seed.

He is really beautiful and such a perfect shot. I miss my blue jays so much. I may have mentioned this before but can't remember to whom here on 365 --- We had a family about 1/2 block away for many, many years. They used to visit our feeders regularly and I'd look forward to hearing their calls "jay jay" throughout the day. Then last year all was silent. I guessed they must have finally died :( I haven't seen a blue jay since.
