Freezing Rain

We got away on a winter holiday by the skin of our teeth. Freezing rain, cancelled flights, closed airports, computer glitches. Almost 12 hours after we arrived at the airport, we took off. We were aiming to get to Miami initially but the plane took us to Ft Lauderdale and we were very happy and relieved to be on it. Hundreds of people went home that day without a flight anywhere!
