My long time followers know squirrels are not my favourite critter at the Café. One minute I look out and there's 3 or 4 big black ones there and the next time I walk by the red ones have moved in. Thankfully, Kayla [canine patrol] keeps them in check, giving the birds a chance to eat.
Oh I feel your pain. Sasha works really hard to keep them darn squirrels far from the bird feeders. Some times Vladimir goes out and helps her out. He stays up on the deck and she goes down to the grown. The squirrels sit up in the trees yelling at the dogs. Pretty funny!
Have to say that he's cute though! We have no squirrels in our city. Calgary has some (they were imported around 1940 apparently) and there are some small red types in Waterton Park, but they haven't found their way here...I actually miss them...a bit!
