Marvelous capture of this nesting osprey. How close were you? We have laws in the US about getting too close to them: "During the nesting season, people or their pets should maintain a distance of at least 500 feet from an osprey nest. Disturbance of ospreys is prohibited under the Federal Migratory Bird Treaty Act of 1918 and the Connecticut General Statutes Section 26-92." Is it the same there?
@falcon11 thanks Allison! There are no specific laws that i know of. This nest is atop a tall nesting pole beside a fairly busy road. i just opened the car door to get the shot. My trusty little Nikon P510 42x zoom comes in handy for arthritic hands not wishing to hold heavy lenses.
