I post pics of ospreys every spring and get comments about how it's illegal to get within a certain distance of an osprey nest in the US. Here in eastern Ontario, Canada, osprey nesting posts are installed along main roads and I've taken some great pics without even getting out of the car. Sometimes even when there's a fancy post installed nearby, they'll still chose a light standard on a soccer field or ball diamond, as in this pic. They don't seem to mind watching or being watched!
