A little ruby throated hummingbird who [according to the Cornell birding site] can beat her wings up to 53 times per second.

That information certainly doesn't surprise me - can't ever get a good picture of those wings - never still - nice lighting and excellent detail.

What a lovely close up. I don't have any right now. Something keeps draining the feeder at night so I gave up refilling it. Racoons I think.

Such a beautiful shot - her feathers glow like emeralds! It's not often you see a hummingbird staying still - well caught!
