My favourite time of year for the gardens --- lots of green, some blooms, no floppy or overgrown plants. In recent years, I've almost eliminated any plants that are high maintenance, aggressive or just generally not thriving in our somewhat shady gardens, thus expanding the window of 'easy' gardening.
