The Ice Castle by sunnygreenwood

The Ice Castle

We finally got a chance to visit an ice castle that was built on Black Donald Lake by the owners of the White Pines Resort, near Calabogie [Ontario,Canada]. It consists of 925 blocks of ice, each weighing 60-70 pounds. Very cool! The dark areas around the castle are puddles of water ... the spring melt has begun! Good for us, not so good for the castle though. Many thanks for dropping by.
I suppose it'll just melt into the lake. Sand castles get washed away by the next tide. Very similar concepts, eh?
