It's calming to watch the ducks bobbing along with the current, then swimming back up-strean and do the whole thing all over again. Here's some info from the Cornell Lab of Ornithology if you're interested: "Ducks are strong fliers; migrating flocks of Mallards have been estimated traveling at 55 miles per hour. The oldest known Mallard lived to be at least 27 years 7 months old."
