We cross over this canal to hit the trail where I've captured most of this summer's bird shots. It's a path along a stretch of land between the river and canal, only a km or so long but quite populated with a variety of wildlife. I showed you this lock view a few months ago --- that time with canoes on a twelve day camping trip. The trip for this group of travellers would be quite a different experience!
