Spring is very late to arrive this year. We walked some trails at Shaw Woods and were still on ice and snow for the most part. I was on the hunt for species of ducks that were new to me but we just saw the same old regulars.
There's a short clip of some buffleheads if you're interested. Nothing special - they're just swimming around, and at quite a distance at that: https://youtu.be/H8HWfR8P8dA
What a nice shot with the sun sparkling on the water, although you know it's cold when the hood is up!
Nice boardwalk along the trails. Never been to Shaw Woods - looks like a marvelous conservation area.
And yep - still snow and ice in Glengarry as well.
We've had the same late spring with snow this year in Michigan. I hope it is finally over. Bufflehead are a challenge to photograph. I have a few pictures I took yesterday of them that I plan to post this week.
The figure in this photo helps convey the cold. Very nice.
