Drying Off

I watched this cormorant swim to shore and 'flap-dry' itself. I've stopped by the same little back road on my way home from town several times in the past week or two and this bird and it's buddy are almost always somewhere in sight but never close enough for a closeup.

That is a very common sight here in Guilford, but more often on a rock in the open water. I like seeing this one in it's habitat.
