The Railing Café of Old

Thought I'd share a pic that I came across last night while doing some sorting for the grandkids' albums for last year. These are Evening Grosbeaks in January of 2011, filling three sides of the deck, with some waiting in the wings. There were more than 100 at a time eating us out of house and home. The numbers were way down this year, maxing out at about 25 or so.
Wow,Fantastic group shot :)

Awsome capture. Sort of like Al's Breakfast in Dinkytown of the Univ. of MN in Mpls-one row of stools as everyone watches and smells the cook working in front of them, including another row of folks standing behind those on stools, waiting their turn.

@espyetta haha, that's quite a compliment to ask that if you knew my ps skills ... lol. it's real ... a daily routine all of last winter. 9-10 lbs of sunflower seeds a day most days. it ended up being quite expensive so we were just as glad to see the smaller numbers this year.

You should open a restaurant, Ann. If you're as lucky with humans as you are with birds you'll be a millionaire in no time. Gorgeous picture.

Yep, this is a keeper! Those numbers are amazing, but I can't imagine going through so much bird seed.
