Firstly and most importantly I want to thank you all for that wonderful support you showed me yesterday, I truely appreciate each one of you. I never even dreamed finding such amazing people in here.
Secondly, I´m a bit teffified to notice how much personal information I´m sharing here on the internet. When I started this project, I never thought it´d get this personal. I´m pretty afraid of what does this all lead to; not a month in here and I´ve already revealed some pretty personal stuff, will I be posting naked pictures untill this year is over ;) I´m kidding of course, so no need to flee, I assure you.
Since I stayed up till 6.00 am drinking wine and thinking things over, I pretty much had no energy for photographing today (or pretty much to anything else), since it was snowing today -isin´t this winter ever going to end?! - I thought it´d be appropriate to use this winterly shot which I took few weeks ago, when I still felt safe to be walking on ice. There was this interesting looking spot where ice had risen upwards. To me it looks like the ice blocks rose up to enjoy warm evening sun.
This photo fits to my current state of mind too, I´ve made up my mind which path to take, so I´ve found my inner peace and sun is shining again, if not this self-inflicted suffering, I´d feel pretty great.
Susale...this is a gorgeous photo...colors..silhouette of the mountains..the ice almost looks like a dolphin jumping? I am glad things are sorted...you are a smart one and it will work out. Don't worry about sharing this strife...we all have "stuff"... That is why people are rallying around you. And thanks for the laugh! I had to read that twice. Get some rest and YAY for making that tough decision!
@nanderson Thank you Nancy for your your kind comment, and of course for your support, I really do appreciate you very much, I hope you know that. Yeah, you´re right, it can be seen as a dolphin jumping.
@mercuria Oh it simply has to, how much longer can it really go on?! And thank you, I feel at peace and there´s always this sensation of relief when the decision has been made. I want to thank you for your support, I really appreciate it.
That one ice block looks like some kind of lahna :) Cool shot, very warm in tones. Also, cool to hear you came to a resolution :) Waiting for the nekkids now ;)
I am happy to read that the fog has cleared and the sun is shining again and good luck with the new path you are walking. Decision is a risk rooted in the courage of being free.
@jc2013 Thank you so mich Jeff, "decision is a risk rooted in the courage of being free", I like that, very deep and also very true. Thank you for your support.
best of luck with your new path! and i know it must be boring and disturbing to get all those snow even in april but i've said it again,i love this view! beautiful shot and love the golden light on the snow!
@wind_of_the_sothern_sea Thank you so much Arefin, yes it indeed is pretty depressing to have snow this late in spring. I love that view too but I love it even more in summer, when all the ice has melted and it´s the open sea. Thank you for your support!
The power of the ice really shows in the photo; the sun looks so warm and inviting. As a kid we would sneak to play on the icy snow covered river.
Wouldn't have minded a shot of the wine bottle (smiles).
So warm and shiny looking picture even that day must been very cold&freezing. Love the lighting&shadows on ice, niin ja noi jäämöhkäleet tuo kuvaan ihan mukavaa ekstraa:)
It does seem to have been an endless winter, doesn't it? It will end soon, though - it has to.
@violeta Thank you very much Violeta! Yes, in vino veritas, as they say
