I´m so dissapointed with myself; not only am I uploading a filler but a old photo, a photo that isin´t even taken during this project. Before I started this project, I took every single photo out of my PC so that I would not be tempted to use any of them cos really what good would that do to my photography skills. I´ve been using my laptop the whole week and I found some of my old photos in it and what can I say, the temptation got too big since I haven´t really taken so many pics lately cos I´ve been so busy the whole week.
But it is a beautiful image! I think most of us end up with the odd filler, Susale, because life can get in the way of photography sometimes and we find it really hard to find inspiration. Sometimes I take lots of photos during the day and just don't like any of them, so that becomes a filler day. So don't be so hard on yourself. After all, this is a gorgeous picture and it might inspire you to try again tomorrow.
@sturnus Thank you so much Carol for your nice comment. Yes I know, it's the same for me, I can take many pics per day and not be happy with any of them and some days I have many pics I could use. I really at least wanted to use fillers that are taken for this project, that's why I don't feel good for doing this.
That's life. I don't think it matters too much if you choose an earlier photo because you aren't happy with the recent ones or you don't have time to take photos during the week. Real life should always take priority. Besides, this picture is lovely. So don't worry.
Lovely picture...gorgeous colors and a really cool perspective...don't worry...be happy...you are too hard on yourself! This is wonderful. We don't care...whatever works for you! :)
@mercuria Thank you Ariel for such a nice and supportive comment. Real life indeed takes priority and I have pretty demanding life. I'm still not happy with myself.
@katerinatina Thank you Katerina, I know others don´t care and they are not suppose to either but I have to at least try to maintain some standards for myself :D
@tstb Thank you Tineke, your right it´s my album. The colors, believe or not are pretty much like they originally were, it was very misty morning and sun was just about to rise so the colors were very magical at that point.
@janim Thank you Jani, it´s exactly like that :D But also if I let myself take all these little liberties, then where does it all lead to in a year or so, if I brake all my promises in this early phase during the project, then who knows what will happen in the future, that´s what I´m most scared of.
@susale my advice is that don't get caught with "must shoot something today"... instead, look for shots every day or try to come up with a concept and think how to make it work. Then execute when you have time. It's like mental training, and it works :) Although, I've been mentally training for over a week now and I'm feeling very weak and out-of-shape :-D
@janim Kiitos Jani neuvoista, tuo on hyvä idea, olis tietty helpompaa, jos omais sun kekseliäisyytes eikä tällästä puupäätä mutta pitää koittaa :) Too much training then ;-)
oh don't be so hard on yourself! this is really a very beautiful shot! I'm glad you shared it with us! this has a great dreamy feel to it! love the tones too!
Thank goodness you decided not to listen to that part of yourself that told you not to share it because it's an older pic! It's a fav for me!! Stunning shot.
Well, who cares when it was taken - it's fantastic :) Really wonderful shot with great tones and reflection - so I don't think you should feel bad about it!!
I saw this on PP it's a gorgeous capture and if you hadn't posted I wouldn't have seen this beautiful shot. The colours are so lovely and the shot is really atmospheric. Nice job! I know how you feel as I have stressed out about taking a decent photo everyday and thought of quitting and others told me to relax about it, which I did. So now if I can't produce one out of my camera I work on a raw image from another day so my post pocessing is done on the day I am putting I up.
@elaine55 This was in PP, oh I missed it! Thank you for such a beautiful comment and encouraging words. I should do just that, at least process the same day, I like that idea.
Lovely shot, Susale. Beautiful light, depth of color and subject. Thank you for the follow. I am going to follow you also as I can see I want to see more of what you do.
